If you are not sure where to start we have for you.
Choosing Your Grind
So that it can be ready as soon as it gets to you, we offer many different grind types for your coffee beans.
Not sure which grind to pick? We have made this that breaks down all of the different types of grinds and what types of brewers they are optimal for. For best practices consider using a coarse to medium grind for a french press and pour over coffee makers where as a fine grind for stovetop espresso makers.
Have a coffee grinder at home? If you have a coffee grinder at home consider placing your order as a whole bean. This allows you to custom grind your beans when it gets to you for your preferred brewing method. It also means, that you get the freshest and most aromatic tasting coffee every time.
Espresso Bean vs. Standard Coffee Bean
The difference between espresso coffee beans and a standard coffee bean is not as obvious as one might think.
The physical bean isn't what makes your cup different its more the roast time and method of brewing. Espresso coffee beans are typically roasted for longer than the average standard bean and are more tightly compact. The roast time allows for a stronger extraction of oils from the bean, leading to a bolder, richer and more concentrated flavour.
How to Store Your Coffee
Do not store your coffee in the freezer. Freezing your coffee puts it in contact with moisture, it ends up drained of flavor. The best place to store your COLOMBIA BOGOTA coffee is within an airtight container, somewhere cool, dark and dry.
This could be a pantry or a cabinet, just as long as it’s somewhere away from heat and light. If you really want to store your coffee on your counter, keep the coffee in a canister that is opaque, airtight, and away from direct sunlight. Use it up within 1-2 weeks of opening to enjoy a coffee with the freshest, fullest aroma.
